This was my first wooden puzzle. At first I didn't think I liked it as well because when you fit pieces together, they sometimes curve upward and don't lay flat. But that was more than compensated for by the ability to MOVE the puzzle without pieces coming un-done. As I worked it, and wished it was pulled down closer to me so that I wouldn't have to reach as far, I could actually move the whole thing without it coming apart by just sliding it. That was great. Also, unlike some puzzles, this has almost no dust. When you dump out the pieces, you won't need to vacuum your surface area. Late in the process as I finished everything except the blue cloudless sky where all the pieces were the same color, I discovered the letters on the back of the pieces - they were A, B, C, and D. That made it easy to figure out what pieces went where, and also how they were oriented. I could lay them in correct orientation and find where they went much more quickly. I thought the pieces were big enough - similar to most other puzzles. I have found some with smaller pieces but this puzzle was standard. What was different was the pieces didn't have much variation so it was harder to tell which knobs go into which holes because the variations were so slight. But surprisingly there were not (for me) nearly as many false fits as with other puzzles. And if you're not sure, turn the pieces over and see if the letters lines up!
